The story of the courtship between the poets Elizabeth Barrett and Robert Browning is one of the world's most moving real-life romances, involving Elizabeth's escape from her tyrannical father with her spaniel, Flush, and the couple's elopement.

These photographs were taken during rehearsals in 1995 for the staging early in 1996. Unfortunately I have forgotten who took them, but will gladly give the correct attribution when this information emerges. Till then it is shown as Lamerhooe Productions *.
